Shaking thing ups...

At first, you feel nothing. Perhaps it's all in your head, your imagination.
But again, you feel it, the shift, the feel of the ground moving, lurching and rolling under your feet. Perhaps the things about you start to rattle, to fall off a shelf where they had been precariously placed before.
Feeling unsteady, you might grab onto something, trying to calm the terrified beating of your heart as again you feel the rumblings, the lurching of the oh-so-solid ground suddenly becoming unreliable.
Only a couple of minutes after it started, it suddenly ends.
Well, you seem all right and so do most of your things. But you had also heard loud rumblings from all directions...
So maybe, everything isn't as well as you'd like to think.
If you decide to venture out, you will see things aren't as they once were. Depending on the part of the island you're at, it could be bright daylight, or it could be midnight darkness that surrounds you. Buildings have also changed, any modern looking building now suddenly looks to be of Greek styled architecture.
And it suddenly seems that all but one of Eros' temples (the main temple) have been reduced to nothing but piles of debris. Two new temples have appeared. One can be found in the section of the island that is bathed in daylight is made of pure white marble and accented in gold, citrine, and yellow diamonds. The other one can be found in the part of the island that is wrapped in perpetual night and is also made of pure white marble but is adorned in obsidian, onyx and moonstones.

seems there's been a shift in power on the island. The Goddess Nyx and the God Apollo have both claimed one half of the island. Though, they are not without heart and they have allowed Eros to keep one of his temples, which is now placed one the borders between the two sections, so one half of his temple is bathed in light, and the other half is washed in darkness.

After the Earthquake has subsided, both collared and Natives brave enough to venture outside their dwellings will find that there is much to do.
In what's left of Eros' smaller temples, trapped priests and worshippers are crying out for help as they desperately try to dig themselves out of the rumbles of what used to be the most beautiful buildings of the island. Help is direly needed to get to them in time...
In the business district, unrest starts to build as Natives start to blame the collared guests for the earthquake. Some are more vocals than others, but one opinion remains the same: if the collared guests had worshipped Eros as they should have been, given how kind and giving he had been to those he brought on the island, none of this would have happened. Some Natives, bolder than the others, are starting to protest in front of business owned by collared guests, and some other are starting to refuse selling the collared goods at the marketplace...
At the hospital, where not even a pen has been moved out of its place during the earthquake, an outpour of wounded people, natives and collared alike, is starting to show in the emergency care. Injuries going from mild scratches to broken bones and concussions are in great need of being cleaned, looked at and healed, and anyone with first aid knowledge is more than welcomed to help, even if they are not regular hospital staff.
Lastly, both new temples are opened to be explored, though they are for now, devoid of priest, priestesses and worshippers. Even the god they belong to have not deigned to visit the new buildings yet...
